    KRACK WPA2 Vulnerability Exposed

okay, what does it mean if we are using asus routers? what option shall I turn off in any of my asus routers? as far as I know, the "Roaming assistant" is not 802.11r, so disabling it won't change anything. or am I wrong and this partial(?) implementation of 802.11r can be dangerous for us?

RT-AC88U Dual WAN -- Is it still "experimental"?

After two weeks, I have to say: the only chance to solve my problem is to switch the connections. Until now, my primary line was on the WAN port and the secondary line was on ETH4 (and the secondary wrongly came up as connected, however the primary is on standby mode). Now, my primary line is on...

RT-AC88U Dual WAN -- Is it still "experimental"?

nope, both correct. we are not using the full up on our main line. update on the topic: after one whole week, our setup looks stable in production environment. there were some connection downs, which were successfully managed by the router. So by now, the next turn is to set up a static ip to...

RT-AC88U Dual WAN -- Is it still "experimental"?

Meanwhile I'm amongst thoose who have to thank a lot for you and I wouldn't like to be greedy: do you have any time window/plan how long does it take for you to implement the possible ASUS dual wan changes to your fw version?

RT-AC88U Dual WAN -- Is it still "experimental"?

@Fizix I think this script worth the time to take a look on it and maybe to modify: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ac66u-3g-4g-backup-mode-issue.11228/#post-76054 I think it is not a big deal to change the script to schedule a one time reboot 5 mins later after the check shows that the main...

RT-AC88U Dual WAN -- Is it still "experimental"?

pre note: my dual wan hardware is an rt-ac87u with latest stable merlin fw. however I missed this whole thread (except the opening comment), I did the same today. set up the main line on wan (fix ip, fix dns and so on) and the backup line on the 3rd ethernet (dhcp ip and auto dns). set up to...

Do we know anything about ASUS wifi and zero handoff support?

I've just seen a link on Unifi website: https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/205144590-UniFi-What-is-Zero-Handoff- Is it equivalent with the ASUS roaming assistant? Also, it would be great to see in the (Merlin) fw to let roaming assistant to set above -70dB.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56_2 is now available

What do you mean on "type"? That client is the 87U router in AP mode. This is its (out of the DHCP range) IP from the main router (68U). I cleared the log and restarted the 87U. After the whole process, I saved the log (http://pastebin.com/G3GDrtkg - it shows the samba errors several times...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56_2 is now available

RT-AC87U with this fw, operating as an AP, Samba share disabled. My router randomly restarts x times a day, after some samba failure (if I enable smb, it also produces these restarts). I do not use smb, and there aren't any USB devices connected to the router. With another 87U, also operating as...

Is it possbile to schedule reboot on DSL-AC68u (asus firmware)

I have a similar problem. I have two routers with Merlin fw (RT-AC68U - 378.52_2 (NOT the latest) and RT-AC87U - 378.56_2 (latest)). 87 has an option in the admin area to schedule a daily reboot, while 68U hasn't at the moment. Is there any chance that if I upgrade the 68U fw, than I'm going to...

WiFi printer - losing connection (378.52_2) [solved]

I think enabling the IGMP proxy won't help me, but I give it a try. Modifiing the wireless network 100% won't help, because the printer is connected via USB, and my PC connected via LAN. @Marsi4eg did the fw upgrade solve the problem?

WiFi printer - losing connection (378.52_2) [solved]

Same here with an USB plugged HP PhotoSmart C3180 into an ASUS RT-AC68U (378.52_2). With a D-Link DSR-250n router everything worked like a charm, now I can't reach the printer without restarting the router if I do not use it for a while (a half an hour, some hours - I do not know exactly).

    RT-AC68U New FW

I've just updated to 3.0.0.4.378_4585, and there is a problem with the guest wifi. I have had a guest 2.4 wifi on my RT-AC68U (wpa2 personal, without intranet access and without mac filtering). After the update, the guest wifi turned out(?) somehow to an enabled mac filtering one, and I can not...
