RT-AC68U dual WAN, split WANs to 2.4 / 5 GHz

Couldn't figure out a way to do it, so I bought a cheap second router to use with 3G/4G only on the 2.4GHz band, while the RT-AC68U uses 5GHz only.

RT-AC68U dual WAN, split WANs to 2.4 / 5 GHz

I have the RT-AC68U set up with dual WAN (ADSL + 4G dongle) in failover mode. Works just fine. I also have set up two wireless networks, one for 2.4 GHz and one for 5 GHz. Is there any way to configure the router so both WANs are always in use, one for 2.4 GHz and the other for 5 GHz? I'm...

RT-AC68U, custom ROM capable of handling text messages?

The 3G/4G dongle (modem) can obviously handle SMS traffic... Just wondering if there's a custom rom that would allow me to read and send them through the router's GUI. I suppose it's a far-fetched idea.

RT-AC68U, custom ROM capable of handling text messages?

Is there a custom rom for the RT-AC68U capable of receiving/sending text messages (SMS)? I use a 3G/4G dongle as a backup connection but I can't access its GUI through the RT-AC68U. My 3G/4G ISP does not provide any other means to top up / change subscriptions for the 3G/4G connection. Hence my...

    RT-AC68U Dual wan question

I have my AC68U set up with a 3G/4G backup connection. Just not sure on the settings... I think I know what "delay" and "interval" mean, but what do "Failover detect time" and "Failback detect time" mean? I'd obviously like my router to switch to the backup connection ASAP when my main...

    RT-AC68U + 3G

So I found a temporary solution back in December, but I haven't worked out which 3G modem I should buy yet. Any opinions?

    RT-AC68U + 3G

I have the RT-AC68U and live in Thailand. I'll have to rely on 3G only for a month beginning next week, so I want to buy a 3G modem that will work with my router. The ASUS website only lists two compatible modems for the RT-AC68U and Thailand, namely Huawei E169 and E176. These are both old, I...

Asus RT-AC68U USB drive not working

3.0.0.4.378_4585. Still am. I haven't replaced the router as it works perfectly in every other way. Might be power related indeed, I noticed the disk wasn't always on when connected, seemed a bit random. I spent 4-5 days googling the issue and found a handful of scattered reports suggesting I'm...

Asus RT-AC68U USB drive not working

Hi, Scroll to the bottom for the question; I'll first describe the issue. Thanks. I'm new here, and relatively new to networking as well. Learning as I go. I recently bought an Asus AC68U and it's been pretty smooth going - apart from attaching a USB disk to it. I swapped the HDD in my laptop...
