    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 is now available

Upgraded from 378.54_2 and am getting the DLNA server going down about an hour after setting it up. I didn't see this on the previous version, but please let me know if this is a known issue. Here is my system log at the time the server goes down. ... Jul 21 22:44:39 kernel: TCP: time wait...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Ahh, yes, it shows up once I select the 2.4 GHz band. WONDERFUL!!! That was it! Now I'm getting over 60 MBytes/s sustained throughput. Which still isn't the 73 I get when plugged directly into a computer, but it's CERTAINLY better than the 31 I was getting before. This I am okay with. Thank you...

I don't see that option anywhere.

Let's even forget wireless for a second. Let's just talk about storage throughput over one of the gigabit LAN ports. Just reading a large file. I tested the Flash drive again on my computer's USB 2.0 port. The average throughput was 34 MBytes/s. On my computer's USB 3.0 port, with the same Flash...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Hey guys, So like I said a couple days ago, I do plan on using the USB storage feature of my AC68 running this firmware, so last night I decided to test its USB transfer speed using a USB 3.0 flash drive and a 5 GB file via SMB. What I found is that while the function does technically work, its...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Right, which is why I was concerned that it would heat up past 85 under stress when it's sitting at 85 idle.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Alright, that's good to know there are no concerns up to 90 C. Are you running a 68P too?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Thanks for the reassurance. However, 78 C was the temp while it was out in the open when I first got it. Now that I have it placed on a confined shelf in my credenza, I see the temperature getting up to 85 C. Is this okay for long-term, 24/7 use, or am I better off finding a better spot for it...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Interesting. Because I purchased the 68U, got a 68UV2, and ordered it from Amazon. So it may not be a Best Buy exclusive anymore. Also, not to dwell on it too much, but is 78 C a good idle temperature for this router/processor running at stock 1000/800?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Hey guys, I just got my AC68U today and immediately put 378.54_2 on it. It works great, but I was surprised to see that under Sysinfo my reported CPU Frequency is 1000 MHz, when I have done nothing to overclock it. Logging in by SSH confirms this: nvram get clkfreq 1000,800 Is this expected...
