Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

I had a similar problem during the beta, and again this morning when I tried to upgrade from 3004.388.5 to .6 - nothing seemed to be working, and (the clue was) nothing seemed to be able to resolve DNS addresses. Once I realized that hint, I went to the system log and found that DNSMASQ startup...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 Beta is now available

I appreciate your suggestion, but this setup has NEVER created an issue in the past 12 months, reconnecting immediately after numerous Merlin firmware upgrades. They have never failed or dropped off the network, and they handle the 4-5 clients they each serve in the corners of my home just fine...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 Beta is now available

Dirty upgrade on GT-AX11000 from 3004.388.5 (release) to 3004.388.6 beta - BOTH of my AIMesh nodes did not/would not re-connect (one RT-AX58U running 3.0.0.4.388_23925-g269b2a6 and one RP-AX58 running 3.0.0.4.388_23437-gad1cd46). After a few minutes, the two disappeared from the AI Mesh page...

Time Machine does not work in 386.4

I am running the latest release of MacOS on my 16” 2021 MacBook Pro, and Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 so, I do think I had to remove and re-add the router’s backup disk from my TimeMachine config to get things working after I upgraded to 386.4 - you might want to try that.

Time Machine does not work in 386.4

FWIW, this works fine on my GT-AX11000. Since you Mac is reporting an authentication error, you may need to reboot your Mac after upgrading your router. The server's keys probably get regenerated on the new version (which is why downgrading works). If that doesn't work, you might try removing...

I see it also on GT-AX11000 with 386.4

Replacing the AX92u with something beefier.

Worry not - you can indeed use the 2.5G port on the GT-AX11000 for your primary WAN connection.

    ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 (Owners)

I have come to suspect that the device firmware is overly-aggressive in REPORTING that a device has disconnected, removing it from the Client List but not actually breaking the connection. I can see this happen for both wired and wireless devices, even while the wireless devices still show an...

    ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 (Owners)

I installed this earlier today (along with 3.0.0.4.384_20942-ge38bead for my RT-AC5300 AiMesh node - I had to do this manually, prob because the version # is different). All seems stable after a few hours. One undocumented enhancement is that WiFi clients on Guest SSIDs now show as WiFi clients...

    GT AC5300 Signal strength issue

Also, Apple products may tend to select the 5Ghz channels over the 2.4Ghz ones, even though the 5Ghz channels have a lower power (fewer bars). This is especially true for the most recent Apple products - they will prefer to make an AC connection to 5Ghz than an N connection to 2.4Ghz. Test...
