[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

Personally I'd take a punt on the NAND being at fault but another option the may not be considered a change but could have a major effect would be the A/C adapter.....

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

If they're anything like most other manufacturers then they'll have a NG part number for the chip and will use parts from different suppliers that meet their spec. So as far as NG are concerned there is no change.

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

Thanks for the insight, it has gone some way to convince me that I'm not sitting on a ticking time bomb. Luckily our power is pretty stable and I can't even remember the last time we had a power cut or even a flicker. I don't run a UPS or even a fancy surge protector so I'm probably courting...

[R7800] Will no longer save settings after reboot.

Does there seem to be a build date or use type this started from? Mine's at least 2 years old (purchased in 2018) I don't play with it beyond having installed Voxel's FW and setting my own SSID's. I don't use traffic management. It is heavily loaded from a client perspective with multiple smart...

Terra Master vs Synology vs Qnap vs Helios

Hi All, I've recently embarked on upgrading my current NAS setup (D-Link 320L) with some new drives/latest firmware and found that there is a pretty major security issue with the device and D-Link seem to have pretty much dropped support for it and advise taking it offline. So after dropping...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.54SF

Installed on my new R7800 yesterday, @Voxel Thanks for the hard work, I'm only a basic user without a vpn or any other advanced stuff but firmware that brings all the software components up to date and fixes bugs is something that is of benefit to all users regardless of end use. So thanks again

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

Part of my reasoning for trying modem mode was to help the latency by reducing CPU load (which as I understand it is the root cause of the issues) and I can honestly say it seems to have made a huge difference, streaming youtube/amazon has improved and I can play Neverwinter (an MMO) without...

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

Graph is nice and flat but it does seem to be self smoothing, the needle bounces about a lot.

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

This shows when the .608 update occurred for me a couple of days ago. I've not tried an online shooter yet to see if there's been a real world improvement but whatever the update did it seemed to nerf the WiFi even more and even my living room TV which is hard wired was suffering buffering...

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

My issues with the SH3 are latency spikes and poor wifi performance rather than outright speed. The latency issue is so bad I've given up playing online FPS's. I'm hoping running the SH3 in modem mode will take some of the load off the CPU and improve the latency issue, the WiFi on the N66U is...

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

Got the Fork loaded via CFE on 192.168.1.1 opened in an incognito window in chrome. Tip for anyone else that tries this method, when it says it's done it aint. Set it to load and go do something else for half an hour, should be good to go after that. Any tips for default settings that should be...

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

My ISP is Virgin Media (I'm in the UK) 100mbps down no idea what the up is supposed to be but it seems to max out around 20mbps. The modem/router is the abortion otherwise known the Super Hub 3. It's sad that their flagship router is so bad it's easily out performed by a 7 year old router. I've...

    RT-N66U Firmware Options?

Hi All, My current ISP Provided router is doing my nut in so I dug out my trusty old RT-N66U which after some basic testing has proved to be superior in both signal strength and quality the ISP provided unit. I'm after some advice regarding the optimal firmware it. I've just updated it to the...
