    Oh yeah, I've seen that before. It does look good but I don't have any smart devices as well as knowing me I'd be tempted to constantly put items through the hole to see if it messes with the signal hahaha.

    It's as optimized as it will be. It is on the side of the house just due to the family not liking looks of the router so I have it out of the way, but to compensate I have it on a high shelf. I have a pretty lengthy cable to get it there but I have it hidden so out of sight out of mind right...

    Oh that sounds simple, my only other question would be that for uploading the file would I need to have a wired connection to the router with something like a laptop or could I do that wireless? Oh yeah for sure, but experience with the routers is what I was looking for and you all know more...

    That's nice to have! What I meant is just the initial installation, since I've only ever done updates by connecting directly to the router ui and updating it that way. I assumed I would have to download it and somehow put it on the router, that is the part I'm confused of.

    Yeah thanks for the feedback, I am just leaning towards the ax58u due to it being a bit cheaper and having the benefit of 'future proofing.' Whenever I get home I need to do more price comparisons as well as check other websites since I'm only checking amazon at the moment.
