Scanning using Twain driver - WEIRD issue - please assist

Never tried with USB same goes for SANE. As it works on the same ghz WiFi network, so that’s my workaround. I just use NAPS2 for scanning. And it has always worked. The issue came about the same time as I reinstalled my PC and Router change. But I suspect the router to be the cause more than the...

    Number of Antennas, for dummies

Well I have the AX86U, and read that it was a better router (range wise) than the AX88U. Which got me wondering, as the first one has 3 antennas and the second has 4. So that confused me.

    Number of Antennas, for dummies

OK, some routers have 2, 3, 4 and even more antennas. Those with more than 4, are often capable of more 5Ghz SSID networks and so on. But how come the RT-AX82U have 3 and one Internal PCB antenna, and the RT-AX88U have 4 external antennas ? Is range even a factor when talking number of...

    Split tunneling question, and security

I saw that access is disabled by default “Inbound Firewall: block”. But does this prevent the VPN provider from getting in through the “open door”?

    Split tunneling question, and security

I have created a strict policy rule for a VPN connection against one device (my Apple TV for streaming). Should one disconnect this VPN connection when not in use, or is it safe to keep it connected? What I’m really asking, is there some way that the VPN connection provider, can gain access to...

    Running Merlin on RT-AX82U

I was lucky enough to have bought the AX-82U Black Friday. So I sold it with almost no loss. I then bought the AX-86U, and it works great. But I would also think that the AX-82U gets the Merlin treatment. I just couldn’t wait.

    OpenVPN Duration setting

I have the RT-AX86U with Merlin firmware. And need it for when doing split tunneling, to shut down VPN connections automatically after a period of time.

    OpenVPN Duration setting

Please be gentle, noob question and help needed. Is there anyway of setting a duration in the OpenVPN Custom Configuration area. I would like every VPN connection to only be active for a certain amount of time. I have found strings like --inactive time_duration in the documentation, but I...

    Running Merlin on RT-AX82U

@muffintastic I'll buy the AX86U, so I hope I can sell the AX82U. I really need the Merlin features. I looked at the differences between the AX86U and the AX88U, and there where more pointing towards the AX86U, so that's what I'm going for. @CrashXRu Exiting stuff, but I can't imagine that...

    Running Merlin on RT-AX82U

Damn I bought the wrong router. The RT-AX82U just fitted my needs and the price was right. But now I really wanna do some split tunneling. And saw that the Merlin firmware once again comes to the rescue. Are there any news about this RT-AX82U router getting the Merlin treatment ? Or should I...
