    I dirty upgraded from 3.0.0.4.386.49873 using the iOS app. No probs so far.

    I have never bothered with a single factory reset when upgrading, Mine seem to function fine without but I suppose it’s dependent on how yours has been configured, If it works, just leave alone.

    Just upgraded too, dirty from 46061. Seems to have worked OK. Both XT8 nodes are back. Bit early to say if there are any problems. Everything has reconnected so fingers crossed. Connected via wireless backhaul 160Mhz.

    Yeah, you have to manually update from a beta release.

    ZenWiFi AX (XT8)

    Sounds similar to the problem I had here. Having a faulty drive or filesystem attached via USB causes the XT8 to rapidly run out of memory and kills the inbuilt web server. I reported it to ASUS and they said they were forwarding it on to their tech support team but have heard nothing else...

    I agree. It seems bonkers that a manufacturer actually recommends that given they have implemented an auto-firmware update process during which that reset presumably never happens.

    I’m having no issues at all with the new firmware. Didn’t bother to reset either of the units, just upgraded both via a couple of clicks in the web interface. Hadn’t noticed the speedtest has gone.
