    AX-11000 160mhz on 5ghz2

I just set up ky 5ghz-2 to 160mhz and it seems to be working not sure what channel to put on so I put it on 108 but noticed some other networks on channel 100. Would I be getting interference? No idea to test this but it seems why have 160mhz if you can't use it -asus say its fine lol Maybe I...

Does the XT12 still has issues? XT12 vs GT-AX11000

Question about upgrading router, for you pro's.

i went from 1g to 2gig and TBH i noticed no difference to any device. Even a few games the latency/downloads etc nothing to justify the extra money. So now i downgraded to 1gig and its all good. Sometimes you need to ask what is my purpose for higher speeds most house need much less speed...

regarding the smart plug, i just got a amazon smart plug and it worked. No more messing about and testing firmware. sometimes if its feasible just replace the device (if its not to expensive)

    Using 160Mhz with RT-AX88U

i agree i am just testing. Rather than using DFS channels i may try testing on channel 36-48 and see if it makes any difference. I suspect not as i have a few networks which sit on (probably auto channel selection on router) channel 36 and 48. I could try 40(something) see what 160mhz does

What's the benefit of enabling the 160hz?

thanks for confirming in the setting i only have Channel bandwidth - 160mhz so thats why i asked as it doesn;t give me an option of 80/160mhz so hence the question i am not sure what will happen lol

What's the benefit of enabling the 160hz?

Thanks for fhe insight. I am just a newbie into home networking everything I know I learnt from here. As nobody has a network past channel 48 I been playing around seeing if I can get good reliability and speed using 160mhz. Still not sure what a router does if it detects a radar signal does...

What's the benefit of enabling the 160hz?

When you said "fall of faster" did you mean lose range quicker than 80mhz? I have since yesterday put my network on 160mhz and not noticed a difference in range BUT in speed saw a jump (it's not a real test tbh so nothing to get excited about, I am only messing about, evaluating 160mhz).

MY experiences with over 2 weeks on Asus XT12 -my thoughts.

Hello all some reason the router (auto) setting went to channel 36 (40mhz) where there is like 3 other networks on and 1 network on channel 48 (my neighbour), and my speed dropped from 800mbps to 350-410, so i put it on channel 52 (80 mhz) again, and speed went up again -i think i read why but...

MY experiences with over 2 weeks on Asus XT12 -my thoughts.

Yes i know i will monitor now. I have just set my channel bandwidth to 80mhz (160 enabled). So much info on here i spend most my time searching lol Still unsure what manually to set the control channel so i set it to 52 (which is the auto setting channel), the neighbours are all on channel...
