Try it in a 1G port and report back.

    GT-AX6000 Bufferbloat

If you have Merlin, it's under "Network Tools".

    GT-AX6000 Bufferbloat

    I'd try turning QoS off.

    GT-AX6000 Bufferbloat

What's the QOS set to? Also, do you have HW acceleration enabled? Also, what is your modem and provider? This can impact bufferbloat as well.

    Static route dissapears

I have a static route in my Asus router set for my cable modem at: 192.168.100.1. It works great until I reboot by cable modem. The route will disappear from the Asus' routing table. The only way I know of to restore the static route is to reboot the router. Is there a command line I can run to...

I have found this works until reboot. The keys will reappear.

Which AX86 router has (will have) the best Merlin support?

In addition to the faster 2GHz CPU and DDR4 memory, the Pro has a newer kernel version over the AX86U.

Does a modem need to enable IPv6?

If you open a Terminal windows on a Mac or a Command prompt window on Windows and type: "ping 192.168.100.1" for the results. I'm just curious if the ping times are 1ms or less or more like 5ms from a LAN hard line.

Has this happened in the past, or is this a new issue with them withholding it?

    AX86U or Pro

    https://www.techgoing.com/asus-rt-ax86u-pro-router-on-sale-with-2-5g-interface-and-ddr4-memory/ The RT-AX86U Pro has DDR4 RAM the RT-AX86U is DDR3.

    Arris S33 on Comcast Business

Would anyone with an S33 mind posting your pings to 192.168.100.1 via a wired connection? :)

Does a modem need to enable IPv6?

@devinrhode2, would you mind sharing your ping times to 192.168.100.1 from a wired connection?

    Arris S33 on Comcast Business

I'm hoping it might eliminate the +4ms ping times to all sites that started with the CM1000v2. With a laptop directly connected to my modem, I shouldn't be getting 4ms pings to 192.168.100.1. @fryedchikin, what are your pings to 192.168.100.1 with the SB8200?

Yep, unfortunately Merlin doesn't have VLANs yet. This is how it displays the ports from the System Status page. Note the thin line separating the WAN from LAN ports. If you plug your WAN modem into the 1G WAN port, the blue indicator circle shifts over to it, and I think I remember the 1G port...

    Arris S33 on Comcast Business

Has anyone tried an Arris S33 on a Comcast Business tier lower than Business Internet 500? They don't update this sheet regularly but was wondering if it would work at the 200M or 300M tier. I can tell you my Netgear CM1000v2 works at the 200M tier despite it not being listed, so my faith in...

Nice! I only have the Pro version, but it's good to know this has it too.

RT-AX86U PRO page now up ...

Another pleasant surprise I'll mention about the RT-AX86 Pro is if you use the 2.5G port for the WAN, you can repurpose the 1G WAN port for LAN use making the router into a 5 port LAN switch.
