    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

That number only works to US customers, not EU, but I guess people can also complain at the place where they bought it if the case happens.

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

Please read it again: ... "One of my RT-AC68U's didn't" I had 3, no one is spreading false information, I'm only sharing that I already seen the case and already read the same on this/other forum, obviously that shouldn't be a normal situation at all, I guess the stickers "went out of stock" at...

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

Hard or not it was the case. Tip: You should definitely also upgrade your FW 2014 year + legions of security flaws on it. :D

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

FYI not all models have it, one of my RT-AC68U's didn't, like I previously stated in your case it's perfectly fine, no warranty there. My point was only this, I would prefeer "risking high temperatures" for 2 years instead loosing it in the first day by installing those fans.

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

That's something even worse to do if you buy a new router, I would definitely prefeer XeoNoX solution without a doubt. If people are worried on router failing because of "high" temperatures it will not help by voiding warranty in the first day by doing it that way, if the router fails in the...

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

No problem. :D I got your point and I agree with it on the shared link posted by me back then replying to a comment similar to yours about this matter: "No doubts about it" (temperatures the lower the better)

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

Have you read my previous link posted?? No one is arguing about it. This SoC is not a XBOX360, it's designed to work at different / higher temperatures. You should say that to Broadcom, but you are definitely distort the facts here and putting words in my mouth, no one ever insinuated that is...

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

Not at all and I'm not sure why you see it that way, I was only sharing my opinion about it based on official manufacturer documentation that's all, main reason why I said that you can choose to install any cooling system on your router, though not needed. Hate? Attitude amusing? :rolleyes...

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

Are you really comparing temperatures on an overclocked computer vs an overclocked router? Those are not even comparable, in case you didn't tested the router stock vs overclocked temperatures at it's worst will be extra 1-3ºC (even 100% overclocked ex: AC68U 800@1600mhz), not the case on a...

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

TJMAX is 125ºC, there's not much more to say about it, active cooling is simply not needed / non-sense, there's a good reason for manufacturer not use it. I'm sure you clean your computer with an air compressor to remove the dust, but you probably not doing the same on your router, unless you...

    $9 Router Cooling (RT-AC68U Example)

You maybe mean: "Try not having a cooler sending dust inside the router when is not needed at all, so you don't need to clean it anymore."

    RT-AC87U/R: Cooling solutions

The only abnormal temperature is the 5GHZ, 2.4GHZ and CPU are fine.

    Password auth succeeded for 'admin'

The main reasons for such hack on device is: 1. You are using an old FW version. (CSRF, JSONP and XSS flaws not fixed) 2. You are exposing WEBUI Wordwide. (that's how the admin password is retrieved)

[alpha] Early preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.66

I haven't tested 380.66 code at all but, I cannot understand how's that possible, have you guys already seen the difference between 66_2 and 66_4? Only 2 changes (Dropbear version update + Samba patch) and none can justify the reported issues, so I wonder what is really happening, really weird.

    AC87U Wired Speed Issues

No problem, you are welcome. That seems extreme, even I can understand the frustration... 1. Have you tried different FW versions? 2. Have you tried a HW Reset + manual configuration from scratch?

    AC87U Wired Speed Issues

Make sure you are not connected to LAN1 port (Realtek) on RT-AC87U, try LAN2,3 and 4 (Broadcom).

ASUS RT-AC87U bricked and not enter into rescue mode

Open it and connect serial cable and check the info, otherwise RMA it.
