    Port Forwarding Issue

Hi Jonnny, I put my Asus RT-AC68U router back and disabled DoS protection and now everything works properly. Thank you so much for solving my problem. After you alerted me to this I Googled around and found one post that corroborated your findings here ...

    Port Forwarding Issue

Hmmm, I think you need to think again. Firstly If my icam had the wrong DNS address I would be getting tons of errors in the ipcam log stating no access to ntp servers or the viewnetcam service. Secondly what makes you belive that Asus routers have to use 192.168.1.1 - check my attachments you...

This is the Network Config page of my cams - you can see that I simply point the cams DNS at the router gatewasy address or I could put in a dedicated DNS server ip address.

    Port Forwarding Issue

Thanks for your replies. For now, I'm using the BT SmartHub2 which gives me good access to my cameras using the i-PRO Mobile APP on my phone when using 4G mobile data. As described in my first post, both of my Asus routers will cause long delays (20-30 secs) before a connection is made to any...

    Port Forwarding Issue

Sorry I should have been clear, I'm not using the BT SmartHub2 and the Asus Router at the same time. With FTTP you get an ONT that converts the Fibre to regular ethernet and you coonect either the BT supplied router or in my case either of my Asus routers to the ONT.

Hi, I have an Asus RT-AC68U running FW 386.7_2 with nine Panasonic ipcams connected. I'm using standard port forwarding on the router to enable the cameras to be seen externally. The cameras use the Panasonic ViewNetCam DDNS service. The cameras can be seen via the Android i-PRO Mobile APP or...
