    I don't have issue so far running samba on AiMesh, mine is Mesh on Wifi to main router. Samba on LAN to AiMesh node.

    RT-AX56U EOL question.

    I'm still running my AX56U as Mesh, recent update to 388.7 also no issue. As long as usable as Mesh or AP, I'll still keep it till it "self-expired" 🤭

    Only problem comes from DDNS Let's Encrypt SSL cert issuance. It went from Issued to Unknown, anyway resolved using same method --> switch to Auto then back to Let's Encrypt.

    Current plans regarding separate version branches

    I started with Linksys (advised as Cisco Routers), but progressively moved to Asus. Used merlin on my AC86U and find it stable with timely updates, and now upgrade to AX6000 extend to Aimesh.     My guess is also possible configuration issue since even LAN is affected. However it's still individual preference, if the router is more customized than the asus-merlin firmware then we have to prepare time for troubleshooting. What add-on works on 388.4 may not works the same for 388.5 or...

    Encounter strange response from OpenVPN setting, use VPN director for tablet to use openvpn client in router: This happens even after I reload the ovpn file from surfshark. By the way, it appears only when accessing Netflix 😅 using the tablet but never happened in 388.5

    Best firmware (Asuswrt or Asuswrt-Merlin) for GT-AX6000 router

    I prefer Merlin. Not sure about lastest firmware updates but Asuswrt Web GUI has a bug where it would not completely logout.
