Even on 2.4 band stock antennas work better. On 5GHz this "Dual Band High Gain" antenna doesn't work at all...

    My opinion you have 5GHz now only because did other position of antennas. Stock antennas has also 5dbi.

    I had same question and found only http://salestores.com/trendn12.html it's cheap and seems to me a little bit more dbi for both bands. I never try other antenna and don't know the practice results.

    Run inSSIDer and finde the best channel for you. I'm sure it will not 1,6,11 because almost all your neighbors use defoult channel always crowed on 1,6 and 11 and mix each other (use something like 9 and 64). WMM will not do something usefull except QoS or Save Power. It's absolutelly useless...

    I think, you have to press and hold WPS button and only after that switch on the router after 30 seconds release WPS button. Router should continue booting like always.

    192.168.1.1 this is router's IP and of course you should use another IP for you PC (192.168.1.100 for exaple) You changed to "auto" and your PC found good IP next AFTER 192.168.1.1 (but not 192.168.1.1 because it is router's IP) and so on... Good luck!
