    @bennor , @jontalk , Thank you for the suggestions. A couple of things... * First, I cloned the MAC - at first, still no joy, but then, for whatever reason, I had to stand the unit on it's edge and the WAN port light turned white (normal indication). I laid it flat, it turned red again...

    I'm looking forward to flashing the latest merlin image released in the past few days, but considering I may need ASUS support I figure I can wait, depending upon the factory image, until such time as everything I working... Actually, just being a client and accepting its IP/routing configs...
