Using Asus AX11000 w/ TPLink AX6600 as a stand alone access point for 2.4 only

LoL I've had that TP Link for awhile. I didn't buy it exclusively for this purchase... hehe. I agree the AX11000 was a bit overkill as I don't use my laptop for gaming and have it hooked up via Ethernet :) N300... I remember the those days. I remember my first 300bps modem via dial up...

AX11000 refuses to hold static IP

Hi I have not tried that. I was thinking about that as well. The static is only $9.95 a month. I personally don't have the VoIP service...just IPTV & the Inet. Also, 2, 3, 4 and 5Gbit residential service set for 2024 too 😝. It's the only ISP that allows for a residential acct with the benefit...

    Help w/ installing add-on's

Hi I understand ya. You don't want any non gnu/GPL code in it. Makes sense to me. I suppose if it was incorporated into Asus's FW by them directly it would be completely on their end and be separate from amtm. Okay .. tnx for clearing that up. Tim

    Help w/ installing add-on's

Hi Okay. I will check them out. I just discovered the git page with a lot of the additional scripts mentioned. Tnx for the tip. I know the Merlin modded FW is based directly off the Asus WRT code (which is open source via the GPL) and would love to incorporate ExpressVPN into the router FW...
