    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.48 Beta 2 is out

Although not mentioned in the changelog, but from the commit history I see that sqlite threadsafe option is enabled in this build (so that minidlna can get inotify updates). Correct?

Tutorial pyLoad Download Manager through Optware

I haven't really looked into it since very long since it runs for me at boot automatically through the scripts. I think I never really had any issues after I added swap with the initial builds itself. I do check the logs every now and then and didn't see any problems.

Tutorial pyLoad Download Manager through Optware

I'd recommend creating a swap space and probably turning it on whenever needed. Swap space is definitely needed when running e2fsck as well. Without it, the router seemed to reboot some times while doing fsck on a large disk.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.24 is out

^^ 5GHz always has a shorter range than 2.4. Higher the frequency, shorter the range.

    2 HDD plugged-in simultaneously

I have a Sandisk flash drive and a 640 gig WD HDD plugged in simultaneously since past few months and both work fine (I use the flash drive for entware and the HDD for data). Most probably your problem is due to power being sourced from the USB ports.

^^ I see the same issue (btw I saw it on the original asus fw as well)

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.246.20 is out

^^ I am using a WD hard disk with my N66U but with a transcend storejet enclosure. Another Sandisk USB flash drive is also connected to the 2nd usb port and I have no issues in having a lot of downloads and file transfers going on simultaneously. Edit: But do note that I don't use Asus DM. I...

I'd say either your disk or the enclosure is going bad..

e2fsck on attached EXT3 USB drive

You can run e2fsck using the pre-mount user script in jffs. It was added specifically for this usecase :)

    Alternative Optware Repo's

You can request ryzhov on this forum for adding new packages to entware. He maintains it.

    Minidlna database not saved?

or you could just change the db path in nvram. I am at work right now so can't check but I think it was something like dms_db_dir or something.

    RT-N66R = RT-N66U (But . . .)

That is most certainly N66U firmware. It says so right at the beginning of the dmesg log. I also compared it against my N66U log and they are same..

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

I think I had seen that problem and fixed it early on when Merlin had just begun on the firmware. I'll try to see if I can get some time to go back and find out what I had done.

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

The naysayers can rot in whatever crap they are running. For me at least, your project has been a God send and even better than tomato.

I agree... Thanks for the appreciation though all the work has been done by you so far :). I'll be more than happy to make any minor contributions that I do to your github repo :)

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

^^ Does it also have the 64k nvram change which was there in .25 beta?

    possible problem with RT-N66U

I'm also seeing the same logs in my n66u since past 2-3 days. And I'm not even using VPN.
