New Around Here
Hello,

I'm playing with smart connect and it works like a charm - except for one fo my Ubuntu Laptops. One of them is only able to do 2.4GHz, no issues. The other one can do 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
The one that can switch btw networks is not able to reconnect after the router initiated a network switch. All other devices (and the same running Windows) have no issues with smart connect.

Any experience with Linux, Networkmanager and Smart Connect?

Seems to be a common thing with Linux (not just Ubuntu) and certain WiFi adapters...

NetworkManager for some cards binds to the BSSID (MAC address of the AccessPoint) vs. the SSID, I've seen this first hand with an older Atheros ath9k b/g/n adapter...

Yes, that was my guess, too. Do you know how to check that? I was about to script something to know if a specific change is problematic... But if it's the binding to MAC instead of SSID, that would be useless.

On one the one device that wouldn't roam, I just made two entries in networkmanager...

WiKD might be a different approach perhaps...
