You can now control some features of Linksys Velop, WRT and Max-Stream routers via Amazon Alexa.

The enabled skills are:
1. turning guest access on and off
2. obtaining the guest Wi-Fi name and password
3. getting the main network credentials (this skill can also be turned off)

This Linksys Article tells you how to enable the skills.

I'm just awaiting the first reports that networks getting hacked by youtube streams that send commands to alexa google etc.

I have a lot of questions about the viability of Alexa for hardware. Networking equipment specifically gives me doubts about how much manufacturers know about the average SOHO configuration. Most of Alexa customers base probably has very little understanding of wireless networking, as they are most PnP consumers, and probably won't have features like guest network even configured (disabling guest networks is a common Alexa skill for networking).
