New Around Here
Hello SNB,

I've been send here by a user from Tomshardware, where I initially posted this thread, but couldn't get an answer. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answe...68u-upnp-problem-asuswrt-merlin-firmware.html

So basicly I'll just post and hope you guys know more :)

I've got an Asus RT-AC68U in my network. Now is the problem that I've connected it directly to my provider, which basicly works.

Problem is, my provider put me in quarantine-network because I had UPnP enabled.. Now I've disabled it, because I simply don't use it at all. [back at normal network after contact with provider] Only my router doesn't seem to like it. It keeps giving me disconnects and errors.

Here's a piece of the log:

Why this:
Feb 18 21:42:55 rc_service: ip-up 1071:notify_rc start_upnp
Feb 18 21:42:55 rc_service: waitting "stop_upnp" via ip-up ...
I don't want UPnP, and think this is causing the problem!!
I've disabled it in my router, and even black-listed UDP port 1900 from 0.0.0.0 to 0.0.0.0

What else can I do?

That makes no sense (on the providers part).

I would reset the router to factory defaults and then unplug both the router and the modem for at least 30 minutes.

Plug in the modem. Wait for it to fully boot up.

Plug in the router and set it up manually and with the minimum custom settings required to connect to your ISP and secure the router.

Change the provider.
99.99% problem on their end.
Not to mention I never heard a provider to "quarantine" a client for upnp.
