Note the 2017 CVE fix here too

It's just a couple of security patches so it should be a problem free update. I'll update now and report after 24 hours.

Was there this morning, maybe ASUS have pulled it

Tried with Android and Win10 64-bit OS selections and 81930 is the latest for me as well.

So this release is giving me a few issues so I rolled back to 81930. Now I'm locked out of the router, wont take username or password. Does this require a complete reset/restore to get around it. Steps please...

Hold the reset button until the power LED begins to flash.

Reset FAQ, Button/WebUI Reset, Hard Reset

81992 dirty upgrade is working here. Also see the download online when I select Win10 64-bit... didn't bother with the other selections... so it has not been pulled.

What issues did it give you?

Thanks, I took the plunge and reset worked fine. The new encryption stuff doesn't play well when you roll back, be advised if you install the new firmware, you'll face the same issue when rolling back.

These are specific ac86u reset steps I took:
Product GT-AC5300, GT-AX11000, GT-AX11000 (Call of duty 4), RT-AC2900, RT-AC86U, RT-AX88U

ASUS router Hard Factory Reset - Method 2

1. Turn the router off.
2. Press and hold the "WPS" button and turn the router on.
3. Power light is on (keep holding the WPS button).
4. Release the WPS button after the power light is off.
5. Reboot your router by manually pressing the power button.

Afterwards set up router as new again, then loaded latest firmware again. All is well...

It's there, takes them awhile to update all the links. Look under the Win 8 option, it's there.

Strange. Just tried all the OS options and 81930 is the latest for all of them for me, even after a hard refresh. No worries, it will appear eventually.

Another update to play with. I see it on the web and in the router gui.

Evening, May I ask what issues you are encountering ? I appear to have throughput issues both on wired and Wifi interfaces. I tested in the back of the ISP Modem an can obtain full provisioned speed, however this version of code appears to have lslower throughput. I will downdrade to the previos version later and retest.
If this is an issue with the firmware my question is Is there any pre release quality checks on firmware ??

more than 24 hours after a dirty update(third firmware not using restore) with QoS on, Aiprotection on and Aimesh on. didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Hmm, all my client icon pictures are gone? What happened? Not nice...
"Dirty" upgrade, time to DELETE and start from scratch?

I just checked. I lost a lot of names and icons but does this really justify a factory reset? I just changed them back.
