The only fix was to reboot my RT87U. Pretty sad. I was running on firmware 378.9460 for 5 months straight without issue and now this. Any ideas what my logs are trying to tell me? I don't have a dual Wan set up.

Thanks in advance.

Before half an hour....

Hello there.

Is your internet connection still stable with your logs filling up like that?

Since my reboot of my RT-AC87U, everything has been good. My log is pretty clean now too.

System Time Fri, Jun 03 20:13:33 2016
Uptime 2 days 1 hours 30 minute(s) 9 seconds

Jun 1 18:43:44 start_nat_rules: apply the nat_rules(/tmp/nat_rules_eth0_eth0)!

Jun 1 19:00:30 disk_monitor: Got SIGALRM...
Jun 1 23:00:31 disk_monitor: Got SIGALRM...

No further entries in the log since June 1. I wonder what was happening that I got al those DualWAN and WAN connection alerts.

In any case, both wireless channels are on and stable with 802.11ac Beamforming and Universal Beamforming both enabled which is default.

One thing I have noticed that is odd since I was on 9460 is in the Adaptive QOS settings. I have this turned on with QoS Type set to Adaptive QOS and Bandwidth Setting set to automatic and I can't seem to see or change the priority at the bottom. For example I click on Games, it highlights, then I click apply to save the settings and Games is no longer highlighted and I can't tell what it's set to.

Other than that, things seem to be OK at the moment.

Anyone else?

Also having problems. Was previously running Beta Version 9.0.0.4.380.2695 and updated to Version 3.0.0.4.380.3459. My internet will cut off every so often. Can I role back to a previous firmware? or is that impossible with the new verification method in place? I'm kind of a newb at this.

Edit: I unplugged my modem and waited 15 minutes and everything appears to be working again, at least for the time being.

Edit2: Nevermind, worked for about 1o hours then ran back into the same problems.

You can't roll back. This question and answer has been beaten to death on here. Read the stickie

You can back to earlier version without any problem using recovery mode

Can I role back to a previous firmware?

This FAQ shows how to do it in recovery mode and all models are the same procedure.

When it gets to the part of launching the recovery tool (firmware restoration) you can instead launch your web browser to 192.168.1.1 which will get you the CFE mini web server.

The CFE mini web has an option to upload firmware.

Thanks, this worked. The internet protocol settings didn't work for me in the link provided but these settings did.

Well, after almost 2 weeks playing around with this version (380.3459), I'm still getting the error messages in log all the time:

Jun 6 19:47:01 WAN Connection: WAN was exceptionally disconnected.

Jun 6 19:47:01 DualWAN: skip single wan wan_led_control - WANRED off

Jun 6 19:47:06 WAN Connection: WAN was restored.

Plus getting disconnected, internet LED off, and GUI showing no internet connection. The only workaround I've found is every 2-3 days rebooting the device. Unplugging the modem and plugin it back didn't work for me.

Hi sentinelvdx.

That's exactly what I saw last week when I posted about this problem. Oddly enough, it has not happened to me since. Everything seems to be working fine at the moment. When I get home after work I'll check my logs for anything odd and post back.

I have the same issue on my RT3100. The internet works fine, but it says it's disconnected like your picture above. I tried calling ASUS tech support to report this, but they gave me the run around, and to renew my mac address with my ISP. So it was a waste of 60 minutes on the phone with them. Shame.
