ASUS RT-N66R Fails to upload Firmware 380.59

I have an ASUS RT-N66R running 378.56_2 and tried to upgrade it to the latest RT-AC66U_380.59_0.trx. When I do so it fails with the following error message. My RT-N66U upgrades fine with the same image. I was under the impression that the images supported both boxes. Did something change in recent releases. I tried 380.58 too with the same outcome

"Firmware upgrade unsuccessful. This may result from incorrect image or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again."

You need the N66U firmware not the AC66U.

Yes that was a typo I did upload the RT-N66U-380 and no good.

I tried RT-N66U 380.58 and 380.59 and there are no USB devices attached

Thanks reading now. At least I did it on a router I am refusing as dumb repeater and not my main router.
