Good morning,
Previously I had a Linksys WRT54GL running tomato. On my SGS2 Android phone I was able to use ES File explorer and reach any of the network shares on my Win7PC(shared them with "everyone" permission). I have since purchased the ASUS RT-N56 and flashed with Padavan(was having the mgmtring errors). Now I cannot access my network shares. I don't believe it is permissions related as the permissions were fine before. ES File explorer is saying:
Login failure
This may be caused by:
-WiFi is off
-SMB Server is out of network scope
-The IP is invalid
-Blocked by the firewall
-SMB service is off
The wifi is on.
The IP is valid.
The firewall was on before, but I turned it off to test. Still no luck.
So what does it mean by the SMB Server is out of network scope, or SMB service is off. Does SMB service run on Win7?
Also I have turned off the firewall on the router as well.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
