Hi guys,

I can't access the forums anymore since approximately a week ago. Tried both from home and from the office, multiple providers, the connection just times out as if the packets are filtered at firewall level for my entire country. The smallnetbuilder.com site is working fine, though.
A traceroute shows:

Right now I'm using a random proxy but it's a pain to access the forums this way. :( Any idea what could be going on?
Thanks.

IP block is in place for RO and other regions that constantly try server breakins.

Thank you for the reply, Tim. Wouldn't it be as effective to implement fail2ban, denyhosts or something similar for these attempts? This would allow legitimate users to access the forums. I imagine the bad guys probably won't let an IP block deter them, they should be familiar with using proxies, VPNs, Tor etc anyway.

I am looking into other solutions. But for now, the ban will remain.
