New Around Here
Hi,

I'm new to the world of VPNs and my understanding of networks is fairly basic.
Hoping you could point me in the right direction..

My goal is to connect mine and my friends LANs so that we could access each others clients, but I don't wont to route internet traffic.

I have a Asus Merlin router running a Open VPN server.
My friend has a DD-WRT router running a Open VPN client.

How do i set them up so that clients connected to these two routers can access each other, with out redirecting all internet traffic from the Open VPN client through the server?

Many thanks!

From what i learnt in VPNs is that both sides can have the same IP network but not the same IP addresses. Once a tunnel is made you need to bridge the tunnel to your LAN on both sides. You also will need to deal with IGMP in order to forward broadcasts and multicasts if you need to share media and such.
