New Around Here
Hello all,

I am wondering if my Asus Rt-n66u can be used for content filtering/blocking.

I was looking at Dansguardian and Privoxy for my Ubuntu server, but then I would have to configure all clients to go to Dansguardian. I was hoping for a more transparent option. I already am using OpenDNS home, but want more insight and control.

One possible solution is thought of was for the Asus to standard reroute all http(s) traffic to Dansguardian on my Ubuntu server.

But the I saw that merlin supports optware/entware and saw that entware has Dansguardian and Privoxy ad packages.

So is it possible to set this up as a transparent proxy so that all http/https traffic goes through Dansguardian and Privoxy without having to configure all pc's phones and tablets?

Any one with experience in this subject?

I don't think that any pro sumer router has the processor, ram and storage performance necessary to run Dansguardian (at least not properly).
