Copy firmware from one router to the other

I would like to copy the custom installed firmware that was installed on my Asus RT-AC-66U (http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC66U/)
towards a new device.
Does someone have an idea if this can be done?

simple answer is unless its another Asus RT-AC-66U you cant

Thanks for the reply. So when I buy the same one it can be done, not possible when trying to duplicate between two different routers, correct?
Can you also tell me how to do it or where I can find instructions?

Meanwhile I discovered that its operating under Tomato, can I use the same process? Or do I need to head towards a different forum ?
