Targeting businesses who want better surveillance, D-Link announced two new HD IP cameras that share similar feature sets, but serve different environments.

Both cameras, the DCS-6212L - a full HD outdoor PoE mini dome model, and DCS-1201 – an HD covert model, include PoE support, have a microSD slot for local recording, provide remote viewing for mobile devices using the mydlink Lite app and push alerts triggered by motion and sound detection.

The DCS-6212L outdoor camera is a 1080p Full HD camera with 2-megapixel resolution and H.264 compression. The camera’s casing is designed for the outdoors and is both weather and vandal-proof according to D-Link.

The DSC-1201 is designed for covert use. The separate compact lens and image sensor unit connects to the main camera module via an included 50 foot cable, allowing plenty of flexibility for installation. The DSC-1201 also gives owners electronic zoom-in, zoom-out, and panning viewing capability (ePTZ).

Both D-Link cameras are now available through a variety of channels, with the DCS-6212L Full HD Outdoor PoE Mini Dome model priced at $359.99 MSRP, and the DCS1201 HD Covert Network model priced at $499.99 MSRP.
