Report a terrible lag in online games, with tablets and Xbox consoles connected to wifi to the D7800. The problem is seen on both radio bands.
Halo and Gears of War are unplayable.
For assurance I checked with another router Asus and the problem does not occur.

firmware 1.0.0.44

edit: very often it not detected the Synology server on my network, from File Explorer on a PC and even from other DLNA compatible devices (Xbox and smart TV).

Hi doc...have you enabled Dynamic QoS on the router? This should provide an improvement with both Xbox or tablet getting prioritised over other devices.

So same issue if Dynamic QoS is enabled or disabled?

We're looking into your issue and will order the games online today to test and try to replicate.
Will keep you updated.

Just let you know, your reported lag issue is being tested today and hope to have an update soon...

Hi Doc...we have been testing to replicate the scenario.

First ran the Xbox console via wireless during all testing procedure, but only first time connection is working well and we were able to successfully play halo5 without any lag issues.
However we did notice when changing to a different WiFi radio band we received a "connection lost” error (which we're currently investigating).
The tests were initially carried out with dynamic QoS disabled.

Could you help with some information for your environment?

1. D7800 config file
2. NAT configuration on your Xbox console, ie., Open, Moderate or Strict?

Many thanks...

Hi...We've been testing the scenario using your config and NAT setting.

We've seen the following behaviour:

1. Connect at 2.4G play halo5 and plays well with no lag.
2. Leave the game and re-connect at 5G and attempt to play halo5 and the following error message is received on the Xbox console: ”Attention Connection Lost”.
3. If we attempt to then play the game again over 2.4G, the error still appears.
4. If the Xbox is rebooted, the 5G can play fine without any lag.

We have captured all necessary WiFi packets and the engineering team are looking into this.

Besides the wireless issues, we haven't been able to replicate the lag.

Is there anything we may have missed regarding your setup?
