New Around Here
I have a DrayTek 2926AC router that has an Ethernet feed as it's primary WAN and a 4G router (factory default settings + APN) as the Failover WAN.

I also have Port Redirection set up.

When I disable the primary WAN, the failover WAN activates and the internet is restored HOWEVER the Port Redirection fails.

When I restore the primary WAN, the Port Redirection also comes back.

Anyone know if this is a design flaw?

Or does someone have a workaround?

Thanks!

Can you set up that port redirection for both WAN's?

@L&LD

Port Redirection only available in one place in the router, not two.

Does the Port Redirection work when just the 4G is enabled? If not, that is a limitation of the cellular provider.

Port Redirection fails when just 4G is enabled.

(Bolding and italics mine). If this is true, then not really much you can do about it.

Have you tried rebooting to see if it resets something internally within the router?

Yes, rebooted, no success.

Would you consider yourself a router/networking expert?

Because I need a letter from someone who can substantiate the fact
that this is a fault of the router so I can get my money back.

If you're not able to provide such a letter, do you know someone who could?

No, not a router/networking expert. I don't know anyone that would provide such a letter to you either.

Are you past the return period? If so, sell it locally or online if it doesn't do what you require.
