I need to run a network cable powering a POE powered Ubiquity Outdoor + beyond the maximum 330 feet cable length.

There is no way I can access power for an additional switch etc etc.

I came across this Ethernet Extender that doesn't need additional power. Seems strange to me reminds me of the claims for a "Perpentium Mobile"...

Anyone has experience with a device like this?

Yes these devices do work. A friend of mine has used them. Just be careful and study their site. For example the Outreach Lite you referenced does not forward the POE to the end. These devices are basically a two port POE powered switch. The Outreach Max versions do forward POE power to the end. They also make outdoor models if the unit is to be placed outdoors. The device uses some of the POE power from your POE power source, thus you will need to calculate how much power is left and then see if your device (Ubiquity Outdoor+) can be powered with the current that is passed on. I have not personally used them but I do know in the right situations they work well.

Thanks, and good catch on the spec's that this particular model doesn't forward the POE...
Outdoor is needed for this location.
