Doing a project - stumbled on these over at the local Costco - and Amazon has the drives at the same price...
USB3 drive with UAS - very fast - 4TB and bus powered - $125 at your local Costco, and same price at the Amazon -- Seagate 4TB Backup Plus portable USB3 drive - nice review/insight into that disk on Anandtech and ServeTheHome..
Amazonian linky here - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZTRXFBA/?tag=snbforums-20
List on these is $240, street is $200 = out the door on the Amazon/Costco right now is $125 and change...
You can shuck the drive, put an SSD in place - it's a good USB3/SATA3 adapter...
Anyways, incredible value for a very high density 2.5 inch drive - it's too thick to stuff into most laptops (15mm), but being bus powered - and low power enough, good for many here...
