I have been thinking about getting a Windows Home Server for awhile. I am a big fan of Linux based NAS's for a long time and have several, but there are some aspects of the WHS that I have wanted to check out.
The HP MediaSmart Server looked particularly interesting, and there have been some good sales lately. I ordered one from Newegg for $449 the other day using a promo code I found through Google.
Now, HP is currently selling them at $449 as part of a two day sale, and there is a $30 dollar coupon that can be added.
I am not sure if this is HP's attempt to get the EX485 in line price-wise with some of the competitive products from Acer, soon Lenovo, and others, or if they have a new product coming out soon. Either way, the price is pretty attractive.
