Hi

Wondered if anyone can help me regarding a basic VPN set-up. I have a small office set-up and I want to have users tunnel into the office using OpenVPN so they can access servers etc. The configuration I have at the moment is as follows:

  • Router: BTHub 3.0
  • Switch: Netgear M4100
  • VPN on a NAS box: Synology RS815

I am connecting to the office using a Windows 8.1 machine via a BTHub 4.0.

Progress so far is as follows:

  • OpenVPN installed on the Synology
  • OpenVPN installed on PC
  • Ports opened on BTHub 3.0
  • Secure VPN link established with the Synology RS815 (IP address 10.8.0.6 assigned to my PC and I can see the connection has been established in the Synology’s log)
Ok, this is where I get stuck. My home network is on 192.168.1.xx and the work network is on 192.168.10.xx. However, I think need to make the office network aware of the VPN tunnel and I am guessing this is done in the router settings somehow.

How do you do this in the Netgear M4100 and what settings should I use – I am sure this is simple when you know how?

Thanks
