I've been dying to check out Aicloud because it seems to be a nifty little feature.

After upgrading my firmware everything seemed fine. I enabled all the necessary options to activate AiCloud on the router. I click the link to access AiCloud via my ddns address and it just took me back to the router homepage.

I also could not log in to the cloud service from the mobile phone I was testing it with.

It seems if I have https enabled from merlins option in the admin panel, it breaks access to AiCloud from web access and mobile devices.

I enabled only http in admin and that cleared up all the issues and AiCloud is working nicely.

Just thought I'd report on this.

Thanks for the hard work.

edit: I'm using an RT-N66U if that matters.

Make sure you didn't change the https port to 443. AiCloud needs it, that's why Asus defaults to 8443 for https access to the management interface.

Ahh I see, that seems to be it. I don't remember changing it but I guess I did. Thanks for that.

I really like aicloud but for it to really be useful in my house I'd need to have users with their own access. Giving everyone my username/password that I use for the router settings is not really a viable option. I really hope they address this.

Anyways, everything's running nicely now including https now that I changed the port.

Great work as usual.

stupid question, im having issues with logging onto aicloud where do i change this port info or check it?

Administration/System/Authentication Method

my router is showing HTTP and a port of 8080

Which means you have enabled access from WAN over http, that changes automatically from port 80 to 8080. Not a good choice. I would change it to https if at all possible.

That's for the management webui, not AiCloud. AiCloud ports are configured under AiCloud -> Settings.

Can I please clarify what this should be?

I have now got problems accessing my aicloud from smartphone and everywhere apart from my network

My settings are:

AiCloud Web access port - 443

AiCloud content streaming port - 8082

firmware: Merlin 376.49_4

Thanks

Those port numbers are the default values for AiCloud. My reply that you quoted was regarding the administrative webui.

Any idea where I'm going wrong then? On my mobile device it says "wan ip offline"

Double check your DDNS configuration, make sure you're note double NATted, and make sure the phone is connecting over WAN rather than the local LAN.

Beyond that, no idea. It's been over a year since I've used AiCloud, as I dont trust its security.
