Here's my current setup:
- Asustor AS5104T, Link Aggregation set to Adaptive Load Balancing.
- Asus rt-n66u router, merlin fw 378.55, acts as the DNS server for all clients connected to it.
NAS connected to router via router lan ports 3 and 4.
What's happening is that with link aggregation enabled, I can no longer access my NAS by name. I can only access it via IP. This includes all of the various access points: SSH, HTTP, samba, ftp, etc. When I disable link aggregation on my NAS, I can access it by name again.
To try and narrow down the points where this lookup fails, I SSH into my router and run the following command:
nslookup <NAS IP>
With link aggregation on, no name is returned. With it off, my router can give me the name.
Would anyone happen to know what steps (diagnostic or otherwise) that I can take to be able to access my NAS by name again?
Thanks!
