New Around Here
Hi,

I have two ASUS AP:s and decided to update them, one works fine (RT-AC66U) and the other (RT-AC87U) doesn't.

There is a packaging issue somewhere since:

[admin@RT-AC87U-F120 root]$ ifconfig
br0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 38:2C:4A:5B:F1:20
inet addr:10.0.0.85 Bcast:10.0.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:362052858150912 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:297928996421632 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RSegmentation fault

And
[admin@RT-AC87U-F120 root]$ ip
ip: can't resolve symbol '__udivsi3'

It's the same with just about everything you need to do anything useful...

From which version did you upgrade?
Perhaps you should try a Factory Default Reset?

The commands works flawlessly on my RT-AC87U.

Seems OK here too:

admin@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root# ip

Usage: ip [ OPTIONS ] OBJECT { COMMAND | help }

ip [ -force ] -batch filename

where OBJECT := { link | addr | addrlabel | route | rule | neigh | ntable |

tunnel | tuntap | maddr | mroute | mrule | monitor | xfrm }

OPTIONS := { -V[ersion] | -s[tatistics] | -d[etails] | -r[esolve] |

-f[amily] { inet | inet6 | ipx | dnet | link } |

-l[oops] { maximum-addr-flush-attempts } |

-o[neline] | -t[imestamp] | -b[atch] [filename] |

-rc[vbuf] [size]}

admin@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root#

How do i factory reset it? I have the "restore configuration" bit but i assume that this is more something along the lines of "start with reset pushed for x seconds, during a full moon, whistling a special tune while having a tie tied to one leg" or something ? ;)

To me this looks like a missing lib... (i flashed this over the latest official asus release and i assume that the trx file overwrites all data on the router)
