Hi all,

My network is currently composed by:

- 1 RT-AC87U (used as the main router)
- 1 RT-AC68U (used as repeater)
- 1 RP-N53 (used as repeater)
- 1 RP-AC56 (used as repeater)

For all I have configured the same SSID with different channels. The coverage is ok, but sometimes I experience conflicts and lost of connectivity (i.e. I cannot browse even if the signal is strong).

I am therefore thinking about moving to a mesh network.

Questions:

1. Is there any device in the list above which is Mesh compatible?
2. Is there a bundle pack with some extenders I can start with?
3. Is there maybe an easier solution to get everything working? How?

Thanks for your advices,

giopas

Note that Asuswrt-Merlin does not support AiMesh.

That's a very good point!

Any plan to support it (or to support easymesh)? If so, do you think currently unsupported devices will eventually support easymesh?

Finally, and for the time being, what's the best way to avoid channel issues among my repeaters and router? Any advice/guide?

Thank you!

None, this is outside the scope of this project. And everything related to wifi is closed source and outside of my control anyway.

Manually configure everything according to your specific deployment setup.

Hi Merlin,

What do you think about the Mercku M2 Hive? I was thinking to connect it to my ASUS RT-AC87U (with ASUS Merlin soft), so to keep security and enhance my wireless connections.

But I am unsure about the technical specs and performances.

As you are from Canada, maybe you know more about this company and products...

Thanks

EDIT: I opened a thread here, but the question is actually related to this...
