Hyperdrive sounds like a nice improvement over their previous backup application.

I can't use it though as I own a DS1010+, which isn't supported by the latest version of DSM. Yes, I know it's not exactly a new model, but I have no doubt it would be able to run the latest DSM version just fine. Synology could make some kind of extended support that would cost a bit of extra money. Why replace hardware that still do the job perfectly well?
