Hi there, I bought a Inateck USB 3.0 hard drive dock station. I put two hard drives in it, 1TB and 6TB. I use a computer running Ubuntu formatted both drive to ext4. However when I connect the dock station to AC-68U running Merlin 380_63_2 it says no device under USB 3.0 label. Any idea is appreciated.

That 'toaster' is meant to give you quick access to bare drives from a computer where you can backup any files you can recover from the drives you put in it.

The RT-AC68U's USB ports are made for an external enclosure with a single drive of 4TB or less. Depending on the chipset the enclosure uses, it may still not work even then.

Is there a list of supported dock station? Is 4TB a limitation of the router of the firmware? Thanks.

It is a limitation of Asus' firmware (which most forks are based off of, btw).

There isn't even a list of supported external enclosures/chipsets, let alone dock stations. :(

These kind of enclosures are problems for other devices as well - last summer spent some time with another forum member debugging a similar box that was being used with a Synology NAS...

The USB-SATA controller chip there was doing rather interesting things - worked fine with Windows, but was not mounting reliably under DSM...
