Power supply died on my old WRT610N Linksys late afternoon. In panic I rushed to the store before it was too late and bought the RT-AC66U. Then I thought about going to the electronic shop to buy an universal power supply but it was too late, shop was closed. I would sure save lots of money.
I know the 66 is old, like 4 years maybe? But my Linksys was even older so in any case it's an update and I don't think I need more than AC1750 if my old WRT610N was doing fine. Pretty sure Tim would agree here.
The ASUS is still in package for now because once I was back home I plugged the computer right into the modem until I'm fixed. Just trying to decide if I do the switch or save 100$.
