Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Phone type Galaxy Note 4 / Verizon
On the router, (latest firmware). I go to usb application, 3G4G, Enable, Android Phone, WAN Type USB.
I connect the phone usb to the USB 2 interface on the router.
On phone, I go to tethering and enable it.
I pull the WAN cable out of the router (as I don't want to use this interface, I want to use the USB interface.) The router as you know supports failover mode but I want to keep it simple.
I disable WIFI on the phone (again keeping it simple)
Everything appears all good except there is is no internet access on the phone or the computer behind the router. Router shows internet via USB disconnected.
Although before enabling the tethering on the phone, I had 2 bars, after the tethering, I get no bars.
I called Verizon and they did confirm tethering is part of my account.
Anyone successfully do this style of tethering?
Thanks, Aristotle
