New Around Here
For anyone who wants, I've prepared a repo that gives you RT-N18U support for compiling.
It has it all but not well tested.

The link is https://github.com/smarian/asuswrt-merlin.git look on branch RT-N18U tag RT-N18U
I have to confess that it seems the build I've achieved satisfy my needs, so I'll probably won't maintain anything further more. I'ts more like a golden tipsy on what to do to compile now than a valid candidate to RMerlin repo integration.

The sources:
- modifies target.mak to take inRT-N18U (and A56S)
- modifies platform.mak to swap src/router/emf_arm and src/router/tuxera/broadcom_arm between smp and (smp)up versions extracted from GPLs.
- put wl binaries

Hardware NAT works, wireless drivers too.
Vfat works.

The only problem I've detected by now (and leave as is):
-syslog: can't load module tntfs (/lib/modules/2.6.36.4brcmarm/kernel/fs/tntfs.ko): invalid module format
-syslog: can't load module thfsplus (/lib/modules/2.6.36.4brcmarm/kernel/fs/thfsplus.ko

Best,
Marian
