Hello guys

i have been using the Merlin Firmwire for couple years now so far and has been great, no disconnects or something everything is smooth, but i want to try out different things, which one would you recommend? Is Merlin's the best firmwire ?

Also is it worth upgrading the router? Will i notice any better performance?

My house has many devices..

Wifi:
4 phones
2 tablets
2 TVs
2 laptops

Wired:
5 computers
2 consoles

Merlin is more stable for ASUS routers in my opinion. I've owned a number on ASUS routers over the last few years and run merlin on all of them and have experienced very little down time, and it's never been the fault of the router's firmware.

If you look at the reviews on the main site you are currently using the #2 best router of all routers, and the best overall ASUS router. The higher priced newer models either don't exceed this model in wired/wireless throughput, or don't have enough clients in the world of wireless networking that support the new features.
