The 24-bay FlashStation FS2017 All-Flash NAS is powered by Intel’s 8-core Xeon D processor and 16 GB of DDR4 ECC RDIMM (expandable to 128 GB). Per Synology, the FS2017 can deliver over 90K 4K random write IOPs, ideal for applications needing storage resources for low latency applications and heavy workloads.

Enterprise-ready, the FS2017 includes four GbE ports, two 10 Gbe ports, two USB 3.0 ports and an extra PCIe slot for an additional NIC (10 GbE, 25 GbE or 40 GbE, for example). FS2017’s storage is also expandable up to 72 2.5” bays when used with two Synology RX2417sas expansion units.

The FS2017 uses Synology’s DSM NAS operating system and RAID F1 for workload distribution, and includes support for virtualization solutions such as VMware, Citrix, MS Hyper-V and OpenStack.

The Synology FS2017 is available now. U.S. MSRP is $6299 without drives.
