TP-link C5 ver 1 vs ver 2 AC1200

Currently have an Asus N900 wi-fi router that barely reaches our master bedroom for tablets & cell phone use. I saw a great price on the TP link C5 ver 2 and purchased one to see if it may improve things a bit (otherwise I will return it) but I noticed something about the C5 version 2. Reading the SNB review of the C5 ver 1, it's basically the C7 AC 1750 router including three stream antennas. The new C5 ver 2 only shows two antennas, so will connections be limited to 150 / 300 mbs even with 3x3 2.4ghz clients as opposed to 217 / 450 mbs with the C5 version 1?
