Spectrum Cable-Supplied Modem with 4 ethernet ports

I want to create one network for only IOT devices and another network for internal & web access use. Connecting both routers' WAN port to the modem ports results in an ip conflict.

I know this is doable, but an RTFM has been unsuccessful.

Thank you. From 2003 – wow!
Would it make sense to use an RT-N12 as the primary router, since it would be wired-only, or the N16 (again, wired-only)?

Feature sets are similar/same, so should not make a difference.
