He's getting sustained gigabit performance over MoCa all over his house.

Yes, but I just see one coax from one box to the other. Would love to see his performance when you really insert the MOCA sideband signal into an existing cable setup. So you have all noise, reflections etc.

I am getting Hirschmann MOCA 2.0 boxes on tuesday. Will report back.

If you watched the whole video, you would have seen him do a test across his house on his cable TV coax. He emphasized how many times it was split, etc., but still got over 900Mbps transfer rate. Good stuff.
 
These seem quite interesting indeed. I wonder what it could do over a single run of rg6 with no splitters? I have just such a use case where we currently have an av500 powerline. I've been considering upgrading our powerline network, but a moca solution to bring much higher speeds to that one location might be even better.
