I would like to use the Asuswrt-Merlin firmware on my router but I don't know how to go about it using a Mac. Also, if I use such firmware and ASUS updates their firmware, would i be able to use the ASUS firmware? Do I have to roll back to their firmware? If I decide I want to go back, what do I do to get the ASUS back? Thanks for the help and patience.

Right now I have ASUS RT-AC5300 latest firmware 3.0.0.4.380_3341 which I can substitute for Asuswrt-Merlin version RT-AC5300_380.59_0 which is the latest one for my router. So if I use the Merlin firmware and decide to go back to my ASUS firmware I can do that?
